superior to mono-vision
For years I'd been wearing gas-permeable mono-vision lenses. Going to the Multifocal is a huge improvement. Much more comfortable. Got some of my distance vision back, and reading is fair to good (depending on lighting). Also, they're much better for computer vision. So glad they came out with these.

Good in the light - Not so good at night
These contact's have been excellent for day wear. But the minute I put sunglasses on, or drive at night the vision is not as clear. This was explained to me by my eye care provider. As he directed the light to my eye, vision was exceptional. After moving the light away, the crisp vision disappeared. That is the only negative I have found with these lenses. And no - this has nothing to do with my vision - it is the lenses as described by the doctor and my own experience.

Comfort & function
THe lenses have been very comfortable, have rarely needed rewetting drops even though it is allergy season & I work in a very dry enviornment. Near vision is not as good as I want but my eye Dr told me I will need to gradually work up to full rx, that it could take as long as 2-6 months to make full transition. I have had no problems adjusting for vision at different distances. Can't wait to work up to stronger rx for near vision. I was able to put them in & wear for 12 hr first day. Have had for 1 wk & like them so far.

Great Lens and I can finally see! Near and Far!
For the past two years I have tried several types of multifocal lenses and monocal lenses (near correction in one eye and far in the other). My optometrist suggested that some of his patients have had success with the Ciba AirOptix, so I tried a pair. I had been wearing Accuvue 2's with no near correction for 10 years and loved them, however these seemed very thick and irritating at first. After a couple of days my eyes did adjust. What took a while to adjust was the correct power. My current correction is -4.00/+2.00L and -3.75/+2.00R, + however with the multifolcal (after four weeks and several pairs) the correction that worked best for me is -4.50/+2.50L and -4.00/+2.50R. It seemed that with the lower correction, I had no distance vision and had a hard time seeing street signs while driving! The Dr said that it is typical to lose distance sight with these. I have to say it's been a month now with these final lenses and I love them. I do take them out every evening but have always done that with any lens. NO MORE READERS and I can see far and near!

I like them better than Accuvue Oasis.
I have been wearing the accuvue's for a year now. I tried the Air optix and like them so much more. My vision is now clear far or near and I can read. At the age of 55 it kind pf feels like being young again with good eye sight.
